The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service - Singleton Support Group is pleased to announce a new three year naming rights partnership with local civil works, poly-welding and traffic control specialists, A-Plus Contracting & Poly Welding, for the Hunter Valley Mining Charity Rugby League Competition The association between the Hunter Valley Mining Charity Rugby League Competition and A-Plus Contracting commenced in 2014 and will continue through to 2019 demonstrating a strong and positive partnership with an exciting future to come. A-Plus Contracting & Poly-Welding has become a name synonymous with local sport events, particularly being the naming rights sponsor of the Group 21 Hunter Valley Rugby League Competition for the past several years. Singleton Volunteer Support Group, Secretary and Event Coordinator, Danny Eather said “we are very excited to announce the extension of what has been a fantastic partnership. A-Plus Contracting Managing Director/Owner, Andrew Hughes has been a pleasure to work with and has been invest much more than a financial support. We very much look forward continuing the relationship as we continue to build our event in the coming three-years" A-Plus Contracting Managing Director/Owner, Andrew Hughes said "The Hunter Valley Mining Charity Rugby League Knockout Competition has established itself as a signature event on the local rugby league and community events calendar. The efforts of all the volunteers at the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service - Singleton Support Group have been incredible. We are excitied to continue to our partnership with the event for the next three years". The A-Plus Contracting Hunter Valley Mining Charity Rugby League Knockout Competition is kick off at 9am on Saturday 7th October over 350 coal mining employees from throughout the Hunter Valley and beyond to represent their respective mine sites. Each team competing in a 10's style competition until one team is crowned champions and presented with the Charity Shield. The day is anticipated to once again raise a considerable amount of funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service To date the annual competition has raised in excess of $135,000 for this vital lifesaving community service that operator throughout the entire Northern Region of New South Wales.
